WOMEN' S WAR CLUB.

10 THE EDITOR. Sir.—Some 1 weeks ago I wrote appealing to your readers for iunds for carrying on a M omen’s "War C-iiß in Lomion. If you primed that ictxcr no doubt many hare been responding and kindly giving us help. But, unfortunately, since writing I have hern seriously ill. ami my work passed into other hands, and I have decided not to take it up again. The ladies now managing the club are Australians, and they will naturally draw their funds mostly from their own country. Also .011 may have heard that after I wrote ♦ lie committee of the New Zealand War Belief in London made the club a very generous donation from funds received from your side. New Zealand has, therefore, done its part, and I fool should not be called upon to do more, considering the magnificent way that country has responded to the call for .help of all kinds during this awful war. —1 am. etc., *' KATHERINE GRAY. 2, Templo Fortune Court, Hampstead Garden Suburb, London. March 23. 1915. [ln reference to the .above it may be mentioned that Miss Lcathara and others have organised an entertainment, to take place on Friday, the 14th inst., in aid of the fund Airs. Gray writes about, but in view of this letter it has been decided to alter the object of the entertainment, which will take place as arranged, and as will bo advertised in a day or two, the proceeds being given to the Belgian Fund.—Ed., T.H.] ~
