Opunake is doing well out of the Maoris, as they are good spenders, but, I am sorry to say, the publicans seem to do the most trade. , The painter has commenced to no up the Town Hall at last. The contract was let sonic months ago, but onlv now is it being done, and not before.it was needed. The hall was a perfect disgrace to tho town. Tliorpo is not yet out of danger, though I hope next time to he able to report that she is much improved.
