CHURCH MATTERS.
ro THE EEITOH. Sir, —Will you kindly allow mo space to reply to tho letter which appeared under the above heading in tho columns of last night’s issue of your paper. I should like it to bo clearly understood that I am entirely responsible for tho lay-readers’ report which was presented at tho annual meeting in connection with St. Mary’s Parish. I sincerely regret that I quite overlooked St. Bride’s Church, Barrett. Road, when referring to tho attendance at tho services in the outlying portions of tho parish, and take tho earliest opportunity of tendering tho apology which is certainly due to tho good people residing in that district. Tho little church is usually well filled, and the attendance most exemplary.—l am, ore., H. E. FOOKEa
