CROWN LANDS BALLOT
A ballot for tlie right of selection of fi 191 iktos of Crown land opened on April 28 for applications under the optional clauses of the Land Act was conducted on Thursday- by the Commissioner of Crown Lands (Mr. 11. G. BnL lard). There was a 'good attendance of applicant.-:, and the following is the result of the drawing, -Mr. A. Cqxhcad (member of the Land Board) acting as scrutineer:—Section 10. block 2, Aria S.D., SS acres (20 applicants); J._K. M'Lood, successful under 0.1t.1’. Section 21, block 1, Mi mi S. 11., 022 acres(ll applicants); Mrs. M. Kendall, O.R.p. Section 1, block 5, and section 3, block 0, I’onatu S.U., 314 acres (10 applicants): J. Sepio, renewable lease. Section 5, block 11. Mahoc 5.D... 717 acres (7 applicants): Mrs. Ml. F. Ryan, O.R.P. Section 1, block 10, Malice S.D., 529 acres (1 applicant): Terence Reardon. O.lM’. (passed conditionally). Section 0. block 1. J'onatn S.D., 109 acres (2 applicants): I’. KuUu and K. M’idmer. under renewable lease. Tbo throo--sections in the sale plan not applied for remain open for selection without ballot.
