LAND BOARD

MONTHLY MEETING. The monthly meeting of the Taranaki Land Board was held on Wednesday, when-there wore present: Mr. G. H. Bullard (Commissioner) in the chair. Messrs. A. Coxhead, W. W, Jones, and John Hoslop. Mr. C. J, Ryan telegraphed apologising for unavoidable absence. The Under-Secretary for Lands telegraphed advising of the appointment of Mr. John Haslop as a member of the Land Board Received, the chairman and members welcoming Mr. Heslop. APPLICATIONS FOR LAND. .1. M. Amrcin applied for section 215, block 12. Mapara S.D.. as a creamery reserve, and ho was granted a year-to-year lease’ subject to the usual conditions. An applieaton from D. B. Howard for a miscellaneous lease of part of TaUora township reserve was left in the hands of the Commissioner of Crown In mis. The application of J. C. Guy for a lease of sections 8. 0, and 10. block 2, Piopiotea West S.D., 292 acres 2, roods, was refused, and applications will he called for tenders for grazing rights under a yearly tenancy.

W. Jl. Render's arndiention for lease of part of Whangamnmomi township reserve was ref used.

K, IPowell’s application for a miscellaneous lease of section B, block 11, Oniona S.D., was approved at a rental of 30s.

J. W. Oihell’s application for a renewable lease of section 6, block 5, Pouatu S.D.. 970 acres, was approved. .1. M. Houlahan's application _ for miscellaneous lease of section 11, block ■t. Pioniolea West S.D., was refused. The hoard considered a large number of applications received for the 0191 acres of rural lands opened on 2Si.li in.st, for seloetion tinder the optional system of the Art. Crown Lands Ranger Tolmc reported that Percy Parker, selector of R.E section 11. block 8, Waro S.D., January 28. 1914, bad left the .Dominion with the Expeditionary Force.—Granted 12 months’ extension of time in which to comply, ft was decided to include lot o (Sac. 3r. 12p.) in the sale of lots 4 and* 13, Waihi Reserve (block o, Hawera 5.1).). to Mr. J.
