A NEW AMALGAMATION. • EX ELECTRIC TELEGRAPH.—COPYP.ICIIT, (Received April 30, 9.15 a.m.) MELBOURNE, April 30. A meeting of the JvortH, South and the proprietary of the Broken Hill mines agreed to forming an associated smelters proprietary, and to acquire the Port Pino smelting works and Bollambi coke works, anil all contracts concerned in the smelting treatment of sliver, lead ores and other metals. The nominal capital is £750,000. _thr. proprietary company receiving £450,000 for the Port R-irie works. The contracting companies’ agreement provides that the whole output of lead concentrates purchased ty Broken Hill will go to the smelting company for fifty years.
