PROPOSAL TO RAISE A SPECIAL* LOAN UNDER “THE LOCAL BODIES LOANS ACT, 191 S;” THE NEW PLYMOUTH BOROUGH COUNCIL hereby gives public notice that it proposes to borrow, by way of special loan, the sum of £22,000, at a rate of interest not exceeding £5 per centum per annum with a sinking fund of one-half per centum additional; the whole of the loan to be repayable on the Ist day of April, 1933. The.particular purposes for which the loan is required are 1. (a) The sum of £20,800 to construct bridges and culverts and form approaches thereto, and to form, metal and generally improve the streets and footways of the Borough. (b) The sum of £I2OO, to acquire or provide lands, casements and appurtenances and to construct and erect buildings, and to acquire plant, machinery and equipment, for the destruction of refuse. (c) Any other purposes incidental to or in relation to any of the said matters. 2. The Council proposes to pledge as security for the said loan of £22,000 and the interest and sinking fund thereon, an annually recurring Special Rate of*3id in the £ on the annua! value of all rateable property in the Borough. 3. The Council proposes to pay out of the loan the cost of raising the loan and the first year’s interest and sinking fund thereon. Dated this 24th day of April, 1915. J. E.
