FOOTBALL.
SYDXEY PRESS OPINION. AT ELECTRIC TELEGRAPH. —COPYRIGHT. (Received April 29. S.lo n.m.) SYDNEY, April 29. The Herald, commentin' on football prospects, says it would be well tl tile New South Wales Rugby League decided to cancel all interstate and international games. The British nation is in the throes of n life and death struggle with a powerful adversary whose aim is world dominion. As an adjunct of health and physical fitness, football is excellent, but the present is not an importune time in arrange more important fixtures, in this respect the Rngl’v Union sets a splendid example. Its''executive has taken a more serious view of the great war in cancelling all but club matches.
