THE BRISTOL & DOMINIONS’ PRODUCERS’ ASSOCIATION’S PROPOSALS:— Owing to the commandeering of all lamb, mutton, and beef in New Zealand by the Government—on behalf of the Imperial Authorities—certain .facts'want to be understood. (1) Tho Government are paying prices according to the schedule issued in our circular No. 25 dated 10th March, 1915. (2) These prices are f.o.b.—free on board—ocean steamer New Zealand ports. (3) The Government pay for the meat when it is shipped—not before. Owing to the shortage of steamers some meat may he in store for many weeks. (4) The Government are not touching hides, skins, pelts or wool. THE BRISTOL AND DOMINIONS’ PRODUCERS’ ASSOCIATION, LTD., are prepared to assist you as follows: (1) Will render account sales to you for the exact amount paid by tho Government. (2) From the f.o.b. price will have to be deducted freezing charges, wharfage, etc., about id per lb. (3) A prompt advance on stock is always appreciated, and if farmers have to wait weeks for their returns it may seriously inconvenience them. We are in business to meet such a position, and will give you a cheque the SAME DAY as we get the killing sheets. All we charge is bank rate of interest, insurance and 1 per cent, to cover clerical and office expenses.
