It was a representative selection, including 3723 bales of New Zooland. There was a good attendance, but a.quiet tone and little buoyancy. Americans were absent. -Best merinos wore fairly maintained, average sorts being 5 to 7-1 per cent, below last closing prices. Crossbred was a halfpenny ~t0..a .penny below. 'The fifth series is on June 29. The list closes on June 7. or when 200,000 bales have arrived. MELBOURNE WOOL SALES. (Received April-28, 10.20 a.m.) MELBOURNE. April 28. ' A fortnight's series of wool sales have commenced. Four thousand hales were offered. It was a poor selection, .but there- was fair competition for good wools, which were 5 per cent, below late rates. Inferiors showed a decline of 10 per cent. AUCKLAND SHARE MARKET. 6PECIAI.
