AN INTERESTING CEREMONY. Tho monthly meeting of tho Mount Egraont Lodge of Freemasons, English Constitution, was held at tho Lodge Room, Rohe Street, on Wednesday evening. A large number of members and visiting brethren were present. Among tho latter was Very Worshipful Brother X. E. Hamerton, of Inglewood. It being the jubilee of Brother llamerton’s initiation into freemasonry, ho having attained full membership of tho Egmom Lodge in October, 1804, the opportunity was taken to present him wiili his Grand Lodge certificate, and to extend hearty congratulations to the Worshipful Brother on his -long and honourable connection with tho craft. Very Worshipful Brother Hamerton, in addressing tho brethren, reminded them of tho wealth of historic associations attached to tho Mount Egmont Lodge, expressed great pleasure in finding his mother lodge in sueJi a flourishing condition, and predicted that it would long continue to occupy its present position in masonic mailers.
