FORESHORE IMPROVEMENT.
THE EASTER MONDAY PICNIC. A meeting of the AVest End Foreshore Society was held in the pavilion oil Tuesday evening. Twenty members were present anti Air. J. H. Hompton was voted to tho chair. Tho main business was tho making of arrangements lor tho picnic on Easter Monday. An extensive and well diversified programme was drawn np, and it includes children's sports, jumble stall, well stocked trees, and doll, sheep, cake, pumpkin, and watch guessing competitions. A tug-of-war similar to that run at the Central School Oarnival will also ho decided.
