PATEA CLUB

The annual meeting of the Patea Golf Club was bold on Friday, some 18 members attending. The annual report and balance sheet were adopted. The balance sheet showed receipts during the year £57 9s and expenditure £44 7s. Liabilities were set down at £59 6s lid. and assets £7O 12s lid. In reply to Air. Kirk the chairman said it was estimated that tho club would require £37 tc be raised by means of debentures. The election of office-bearers then took place. Air. Grainger next moved that tho subscriptions for active members be raised, the men’s subscriptions to 30s and ladies to los, and that the ineroa.se be earmarked for tho redemption of debentures. By this means the golf house should become the property of the flub ill two years.—Carried. It was decided to charge an entrance fee of 7s 6tl for men and 2s Gd for ladies joining after June 1.
