Lord Murray gave evidence that ho instructed Fenner to invest a certain amount of the iiarty funds in home securities, leaving Fenner to select the stock. AU the purchases were made as investments. Ho did not possess information on political matters which was not open to the general public through the press; although the coal strike was on ho had no information from Ministers about it. He saw no impropriety in investing iu railway stocks. Fenner changed the stocks from one railway to another in order to secure a better dividend. PARIS, March 24. Fenner ia still awaiting extradition.
