March 3a ■Ronter’s Washington correspondent B&tes that stubborn opposition has arisen, in the House against the repeal of the Tolls Bill. A peculiar feature is that Mr. Clark, the Speaker, Mr. Underwood, and other politicians who usually support the Administration, are now opposing the repeal. NEW YORK, March 23. The President, answering the objection that the repeal of the Panama Tolls Bill was inconsistent with the Democratic platform, points out that the Exemption Bill was carried only with the aid of Republican rotes. The President expects the suppo# of 200 Democrats when the House totes.
