Tho police dispersed tho procession, their batons injuring several. Three had to bo sent to hospital. White was injured in the face, and was arrested. White was bailed out. Ho was charged with assaulting an inspector, sergeant, two constables, and a mailvan driver. Tho inspector states that ho was struck on tho hack of tho head by a blunt instrument while arresting White. Meanwhile, the latter struck him with the blackthorn on tho chest, and violently resisted arrest.
