The Porte’s reply to the Powers refarding the Aegean Islands regrets the 'owers have given inadequate consideration to the Empire’s vital needs in connection with the Islands and the adjacent Dardanelles, and their failure to devise a solution which might have avoided all serious difficulties. It adds that the Porte will seek the realisation of its just and legitimate demands. ATHENS, Feb. 16. M. Venezclos, the Premier, is giving the impression that a European tour is anticipated with a view to the modification of the. frontier of Epirus. Ho added that the close understanding between Greece, Boumania and Servia would assure tho maintenance of the status quo in the Balkans, and make Graeco-Turkish complications impossible.
