Tho wheat and flour afloat for tho United Kingdom is 1,725,000 bushels, for the Continent 2,305,000 bushels;' Atlantic shipments 335,000 bushels, Pacific 15,000 bushels. Lambs.—The market is dull, but prices are firm on account of holders not being anxious to sell. Canterbury 6 11-16 d, heavy -weight 5Jd; other than Canterbury 53 d. Beef.; —The market is firm with good demand for hinds. New Zealand hinds 4 3-Usd, fores 3d, drilled hinds 4Jd, fores 3d. Butter.—The market is firm, with good demand for-cboicest, bnt poor, for tow grades. The market has been un-favonrably-affected- by the largo quanti-ties-at present in store. For some time past choicest Danish has been quoted at 130 s to)131s, Frendr 110 s to 116 d, Dutch llOs to 11/ls, Australian 104 s to 110 s, Siberian IGOs to 104 s. Cheese.—The market is firm and prices rising for Canadian and English. It is expected prices will advance for English. New Zealand stocks are almost exhausted. Homp.—Tte market is depressed. Reports. from .Manila indicate that) dealers are holding for better prices than aro-obtainable- bore. Tho demand for spot is good. Fair current Manila £3l, October to December £3O ss. Tiro output from Manila for the Aock was 15,000 bales. Tho Now Zealand market continues dull in sympathy with Manila. Now Zealand, good-fair grade £3O, fair £2-5 10s,' October to December good fair £3O. Business has been dono-in'-fair grade this week at £25 os, sellers are asking £25 10s. - Sisal.—The disturbed, political situation in Mexico ha* depressed the market and the ip-resent tendency is downward. The price in New Y-ork is 5J cents, equal to £29 per ten c.ii. Europe. . , Wool.—The market is quiet but firm, though tho new business is not very large. Hops.—lt- is anticipated .that the English now- crop will bn -of excellent quality, but-50,000 to 8d ; 000-cwts. short of last year. The American crop is expected to be good. Continental exports -will bo -small, owing to German and Austrian crops being below the avorago-and-showing a. combined sho-rt-agb of 300,000 cwts.
