The Ilev. D. C. Bates’ forecast for the twenty-four hours from 9 a.m. today is as follows: Westerly moderate to strong winds, freshening; increasing haze and cloudiness at times. Expect dull weather, with much mist and fog in parts. The weather appears likely to bo cloudy' and unsettled. Barometer rising slowly temporarily, hut barometer falling shortly. Sea heavy; tides moderate.
