LAND BOARD

MONTHLY MEETING. The monthly meeting of-the Taranaki Land Board was commenced this morning in the District Lands Office, New Plymouth. There wore present: The Commissioner of Crown Lands (Mr. G. H. Bullard) in the chair, Messrs. J. Heslop, J. Rattenbury, O. J. Ryan and A. Coxhead. The following business was transacted before the luncheon adjournment: LAND APPLIED FOR. Applications for land were approved as follow:—Sections 28 and 29, Spotswood, John Buckley ; section 4, block 4, Kapara, C. S. Monefy; section 11, block 3, Aria, J. Martin. The allotment of section 4, block 5, Totoro, to L. D. Nicholls was approved, he having divested himself of land held in the Nelson district. TRANSFERS. Applications to transfer were dealt with ns follow: L. R. Ourtis to A. Pnulger, section 4, block 4, Huiroa.—Refused. W. J- Welsh and T. M'Lellan to H. W. Bovis and T. M'Lellan, section 9, block 15, Omona (1047 acres). —Approved. _ . , M. Wolfsbauer to J. T. Smith, section 8, block XI, Ngatimaru (200 acres). —Approved. Thomas Hastio to John Harvey, sections 21 and 22, block 16, Ngatimaru, section 12, block 13, Mahoc, sections 9, 10, 12, 13 and 14, block 1, Taurakawa, and section 20, block 13, Malice (area 1998 acres). —Approved. GENERAL. After hearing Mr. Rattenbury, it was resolved to take no action until May, 1914, in the case of M. L. Gaustad, licensee of section 5, block 12, Upper Wiutara, who had failed to fulfil residence conditions and had neglected to take advantage of the three months granted by the board. In the meantime, selector has to bring improvements up-to-dato and find a suitable transferee. (Left sitting.)
