MISS TICK BORNE’S THREATS. ’ BY ELECimO TELEGRAPH. —COPYRIGHT. (Received July 17, 9.55 a.m.) LONDON, July 16. Therese Tichborno has been sentenced to six months’ imprisonment in the second division. Miss Tichborne, who is 17 years of age, is tho daughter of Orton, the claimant to the Tichborno estates 40 years ago. In order to bring tho case before the public she threatened to kill Miss Grevillo previous to that lady’s marriage with Sir Joseph Tichborno on Juno 24. A TROUBLESOME WOMAN. (Received July 17, 11 a.m.) LONDON, July 16. Counsel for the prosecution stated that Theresa Tichborne had for years annoyed the Tichbornes with begging letters, some verging on blackmail. Twenty-live pounds, charitably given her by the late Sir Henry, she accepted as an acknowledgment of tho family connection. She asked Sir Joseph to give her £IO,OOO not to worry him further. Other letters accused Lady Doughty Tichborno of concealing or destroying Sir Henry’s will.
