ANNUAL REPORT. The annual meeting of shareholders of the Stratford Farmers’ Co-operative Association will bo held in the Town Hail on July 28. The following table shows the operations of the company for the past year, the figures for the previous year being given in parentheses:—Suppliers 245 (224), milk received 31,122,8251 b. (29,723,4311 b), cream received 66,2321 b, average test 3.84 (3.87), butter-fat 1,195,3931 b. (1,151,2381 b.), fat from cream'2B,B22lb., total fat 1,224,2151 b., butter 1,433,9341 b. (1,328,4391 b.), overrun 17.1 (15.3), pounds of riilk to pounds butter (22.37), cost of manufacture 1.14 d (1.17 d). Tho annual report to be presented is as follows:—Your directors have pleasure in presenting to shareholders a satisfactory statement of the year’s operations. Tho working account snows a balance of £5362 18s Bd. This will bring tho average paid for butterfat for the year to 12.53 d per lb. During’ the year, homo separated cream was received on a daily delivery. The reports received from the London agents regarding the quality of the butter have been very satisfactory. You will note by the balance-sheet that depreciation on land and buildings has been raised 21 per cent. The mortgage of £§oo due to Barleyraan’s Trustees has been paid off. Tho retiring directors aro Messrs. R. Dingle, A. Stewart and Hy. Watson, who are eligible for re-election. _ As Mr. Stewart is leaving the district ho does not seek re-election. You will also be asked to elect a director to fill tho vacancy caused by the resignation of Mr. J. C. Robson. Mr. T. H. Penn again offers his services as auditor.
