Paton, of tho Athletic, team, was severely cautioned for rough play, and E. Osborne, of tho same chib, was disqualified till the end of tike season for striking • another player. MTxyxl, of tho Oriental Club, was also disqualified till the end of tho season for striking another player. NORTH v. SOUTH ISLAND. WELLINGTON, July 16. The following team has been picked to represent tho North Island against the Sooth island at Christchurch on July 26: —Full-back, O’Leary (Auckland); three-quarters, M‘Gregor (Auckland), Roberts (Taranaki), and Stohr (Taranaki); five-eighths.
