HAMILTON-PLIMMER SEASON
The box plans for the above season, which will commence at the Theatre Royal on Thursday night next, aro now on view at Collier’s. The high favour ■in which this brilliant combination is held by playgoers 'in New Plymouth and the fact that tbo season is of only two nights’ duration, will probably inlluence the booking of seats to a great extent. Messrs. Hamilton and Plimmer deserve all praise for their enterprise in bringing, single-handed, to New -Zealand, this company, which must be looked upon, as it richly deserves, as one of tbo strongest, histrionically, that has ever visited these isles. With such a company to interpret such really high-class plays as wo believe the repertioro to comprise; success will assuredly crown the efforts of these entrepreneurs. “A Woman of Impulse” will be the opening play. This "'play is slightly outside the run of dramas .'usually associated with this management. * It is brimful of action, and its dialogue is clover, at times bnl-' liant, arid its general construction admirably worked out. “A Woman of Impulse” is said to resemble Sardou’s best works, and is noted for its lino characterisation. The company, includes Mrs. Robert Brough, Beatrice Day, H. E. Roberts, Harry PUmmer. Arthur Styan; Sydney Sterling, and Winter Hall, and is said to bo exceptionally well cast in both the productions of the season. “Dr. Wake’s Patient” will be staged on Friday night. ' , ■
