Miss Kenny appeared on the platform at Hie Pavilion Music Hall and sold her prison licenses by auction for £l2 for tho benefit of tho political bi-bn's funds. Mrs. Pinkhurst also came on to the platform amid tumultuous cheering. Both were arrested when leaving, after a violent struggle with the police. Mrs. Pankhurst escaped in a taxicab, a crowd of women beating off tho detectives with parasols and sticks. A constable’s coat was torn off in tho melee. NON-MILITANT DEMONSTRATION. LONDON, July 14. During their Majesties’ visit to Liverpool a woman hurled a poker through a shop window and rushed to the suffragette office, where sho was arrested and identified as Mrs. Jolly, secretary of the local union. The first batch of a thousand nonmilitant suffragettes, marching to London iVorn every part of England, has arrived. A notable feature was tho sympathy and support of the clergy *nd mayors. Donations to the demonstration fund amount to £4079.
