ENTERTAINMENTS.

BEEBE’S VAUDEVILLE.

The members of Mr. M- Beebes splendid combination of vaudeville artists concluded tlioir vsliort season m New Plymouth last night, when they plavod to a fair house in the Theatre Koyal. Tho enthusiastic reception which greeted the company at its first performance was easily eclipsed last night, when the numerous encores and hearty applause which followed every item' demonstrated to tho fullest extent that the cll'orts of tho performers were fully appreciated and enjoyed, the first half of tho long programme was given up to a selection ot vocal and instrumental items by individual members of tho troupe, when a happy medley of first-class singing and humorous numbers, together with many well-bal-anecd choruses, made up a pleasant hour’s entertainment. More enjoyment was caused by tho turns in the second half of the programme, and it "was nearly 11 o’clock before tho audience was satisfied to allow the screen to remain down. There is no denying the fact that Mr. Beebe has with him a strong company of high class artists, and alien it pays Non - Plymouth a return visit, as it will in a fen - months, it can rest assured of being accorded a hearty reception.
