ON PREFERENCE TO UNIONISTS. By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright. PERTH, June 30. The Premier told a deputation from the Clerks’ Union, asking for preference to unionists in Government appointments, that he was not going to fill the service with men just because they belonged to a union. He would not employ a man to handle cash unless he. was satisfied that he was trustworthy.
