Webster local agent) report the following Stock Exchange quotations and Bates: — Quotations. —Talisman sellers 37s 3d, buyers" 37a, Waihi 41s 9d and 41s 6d, Junction 19s 6d and 19s 3d, New Eonland Insurance 105 s and 103 s 6d, South British. 75s 6d and 74s 6d. Sales.—’Waihi 41s 9d, 41s 6d. BUOKLAND AND SONS. (Special to Herald.) AUCKLAND, June 26. Messrs. Buokland and Sons report:— 'At Westfield, on Thursday, Juno 19, average numbers were yarded. Dairy and store cattle sold at ruling prices. Best dairy cows brought up to £l4, others £8 to £lO 10s, inferior £3 10s to £6 10s, empty cows £2 15s to £4 3a, 18-month heifers £3 5s to £4 10s, yearlings £2 12s to £2 16s, good calves £1 10s to £1 18s, others 15s to £1 6s. Eleven hundred and fifty-five store wethers and ewes in lamb found a ready eale. Six-tooth to f.Lm. ewes in lamb brought 16s to 17s 9d, f.f.m. ewes in lamb 12s 6d to 15s 6d, small and "aged ewes in Jamb 7s 6d to 10s 6d, store wethers 16s 6d to 18s 6d, small wethers 13s 6d to 16s 6d. At Westfield, on Wednesday, the beef yarded numbered 486 head. Competition waa steady, but values were slightly easier. Choice ox brought up to £1 14s, prime £1 10s to £1 12s 6d, cows and heifers £1 to £1 8s per 1001 b. Steers brought £7 to £ls 17s 6d, cows and heifers £4 to £B. Calves: 55 young calves sold readily at higher rates especially for choice medium suckers. Heavy suckers brought to £3 15s 6d, medium/suckers £2 10s to £3 10s, light £1 5s to £2 3s, fresh-dropped 3s to £1 Bs. Mutton: Entries were moderate. Extra heavy prime wethers brought £1 8s to £1 10s, heavy prim© £1 6s to £1 7s 6d, medium to heavy £1 Is to £1 4s, light and unfinished 17s 6d to £l, extra prime ewes £1 3s to £1 4s, good 18s to £1 2s, others 13s to 17s 6d: 1677 were sold. Lambs: Few were offered. Best brought 15s 6d to 17s, others 14s 6d to 15s, inferior 8s 6d to 13s 6d. Pigs: Choppers brought up to £5 Is 6d, heavy baconers £3 12s to £4 ISs, light £3 4s to £3 10s 6d, large porkers £2 9s' to £3, smaller £1 16s to £2 7s 6d, light £1 5s 6d to £1 14s, stores 14s to £1 Is; 145 were sold. No weaners or suckers were penned. L. A". NOLAN AND CO. L. A. Nolan and Co. report:— Poultry. —Wo are pleased to report a much increased demand for all lines, prices on Saturday boing very satisfactory. We quote:—Hens, fat 2s to 3s, ordinary Is 4d to Is lid; pullets, 2s 5d to 4s; cockerels, Is 4d to 3s 3d; roosters. Is 6d to 2s 9d; ducks, 2s 2d to 2s 4d; 1 pair Campiucs 9s 6d. Fruit. —Some very prime lines of apples have . been offering this week. These have met with a ready sale at prices as follows;—Stunners, 9s to 10s, half-cases, '4s 6d to 5s 3d; Doughertys 9s to 9s 6d, half-oases 4s to 4s 6d; Rome Beauties, half cases 4s to ss; Rokewoods, half-cases 4s to os. On Wednesday we held a clearing sale on account of Mr. R. Aroa, Fitzroy. There was a good attendance, and the sale resulted to vendor’s satisfaction.
