ON SIR JOHN LOGAN CAMPBELL’S ESTATE. Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, June 26. Tho final assessment of death duties in the estate of the late Sir John Logan Campbell has beau completed. 'Hie net value of the estate is certified at £227,966, ou wnich a death uuiy_ is payable of £36,256. The trustees find themselves with only £131,000 on hand with which to carry out tho testator’s wishes, and beyond the £IOOO which is to bo paid to tho St. John Ambulance Association and £13,000 to Auckland charities in 1914, the payment of the bigger legacies will bo indefinitely postponed, Practically tho whole of the assets arc in shares of tho Campbell* Eliroufricd Company, and in view of the possibility of an adverse vote on tho local option poll, tho trustees do not consider themselves justified in further reducing tho corpus of tho estate.
