MAWSON’S EXPEDITION
FAILURE OF WIRELESS. REFITTING OF THE AURORA. By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright. (Received April 30, 9.10 a.m.) SYDNEY, April 80, Dr. Mawson for several days has been trying to send a wireless message to Australia, but, owing to some unknown cause, the messages are undecipherable. Professor David presumes that a blizzard has caused an accident to the wireless mast, but believes the party is safe for tho rest of the winter, but the refitting of the Aurora is being pushed on as speedily as possible, so that sho may leave as early as it is thought practicable to gel, through tho ice.
