In the House of Commons, Mr. Keir Hardio suggested that as the proposed gifts of battleships have become a matter of party controversy in Canada, the Government should suggest that Mr. Borden should not proceed with the gift. Mr. Asquith refused. It was, ho said, entirely a matter for Canadian decision.
