REGATTA AT PETONE. Per Press Association. PETONE, March 22. At the regatta to-day the race for the maiden fours resulted: —Christchurch Union 1, Canterbury Rowing Club 2, AVairau 3. All started. AA 7 on by half a length, two lengths between second and third. Champion Sculls.—Hadfield (A\ aitemata) 1, Sharpe (Wanganui Union) 2, Stone (St.. George’s) 3. Scratched: Anderson (AA’auganui Rowing Club), De Thier (Sumner) and Kenny (Picton), Won by a length, two lengths between lecond and third. Junior Fours (best and best). —Petone 1, AVellington 2, Christchurch Union 3. A splendid race. AA'on by a length, two lengths separating second ancTthird. All started.
