The evidence showed that Cilia was discharged from the Consulate employ by tile Chinese Government, and intimated his intention to return to China. He sought to , obtain from Yung Liang introductions to the Minister, and was at not obtaining them, ' After arrest, Chia declared that he intended to kill Hwang, because he had abused him,’ and then kill himself.
