STATEMENT BY CHAIRMAN. By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright. SYDNEY, March 1 21. Sir E. Vincent, interviewed, said that he had obtained very important and suggestive evidence in New Zealand. All the members of the commission were deeply impressed with the prosperity of the Dominion and the great comfort of all classes. Tho evidence the commission had received appeared to point to extended possibilities in the direction of more intense agriculture. Ho was impressed with the number and excellence or tho harbours, especially those in Wellington aud Auckland. He was much gratified with the New Zealand Government for its organisation of tho evidence and witnesses for the great trouble it had gone to in preparing their statements.
