RICCARTON TRAINING NOTES. (Special to Herald.) CHRISTCHURCH, March 20. A fresh southerly militated against fast times at Riccarton this morning. Sanguinary beat Lady Nolan over 7 furlongs iij, Imin. 33sec.; Masterpiece did 10 furlongs in 2min. losec., going \ well; Heatherbraa beat Brown Owl over ) 6 furlongs in Imin. 16 2-ssec., smart performances; Peg and Mowbray did 7 furlongs together in Imin. 33sec., the former running on at the finish; Autummis gave Coroniform a start and a beating over 7 furlongs, which took 1 min. 30 2-ssee., Antumnus galloping impressively; Ventura sprinted over 6 furlongs in Imin. 18 l-ssec.; Cheddar and Kooya were together over a mile run in Imin. 46sec.; Eraperador and Historiette brushed over the last four furlongs of a circuit in 521 sec.; Query ' did a mile nicely in Imin. 43aec.; Bronze, Bertrada, Lockwood, Prince Eddie, Eocene, Monette, and Sir Solo, who arrived yesterday, did useful work.
