MAIL NOTICES.

Mails will close (subject to alterations) at tho Chief Post Office, New Plymouth, as under;—

For Auckland and North, per steamer, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, at 7 p.m., and daily per train at

6.15 a.m. For Wellington and South, daily, at 6.15 a.m. and 12.20 p.m. For Wanganui and intermediate offices daily at 6.15 a.m., 12.20. and 3.55 p.m. SATURDAY, MARCH 22.

For Australian States and South Africa, per llarawa, at 7 p.m. TUESDAY, AIAIICH 25. For Tonga and Samoa, at 6.15 a.m. For Fiji (per s.s. Navua from Auckland) at 6.16 a.m.

Unless otherwise specified. Money Orders and Registered Letters close one hour •before the ordinary mail.

Tbo Post Office will observe the undermentioned holidays:— Good Friday, March 21, will be observed as a Sunday. Oii Faster Monday, March 24, the Post Office will be open to the public in all branches, except money-order and savings bank, from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. only. Clearances: On tho evenings of Thursday, the 20th, and Saturday, the 32nd March, nil receivers and post-ing-boxes will be cleared. Mails: Mails usually despatched on Friday will fie cleared on Thursday night, March 20, at 8 p.m. On Monday, March 24, all mails which usually close later than 6.15 a.m. will close at 8 a.m. Posting receivers and boxes will be cleared accordingly. Letter-carriers deliveries: On Easter Monday no delivery by carrier will be made. On Thursday, tho 20th, full deliveries will be made as on other week-days. On Thursday, tho 20th, and Saturday, the ' 22nd, there will be a delivery of town letters (registered as well as ordinary) from 8 p.m. to 9 p.m. over the counter. Private-boxes; Ou Good Friday. Sunday hours will be observed, and usual hours on Easter Monday, in the private-box lobbies. Telegraph Office: On Good Friday, Sunday hours will bo observed, 9.30 a.in. to 10 a.m., and 5 p.m. to 5.30 p.m. On Easter Monday tbo office will be open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and 7 p.m. to midnight.
