Loifihroso found that 13 per cent, of the male prisoners ho examined were left-handed, and 22 per cent, of the ivomen criminals. To get a general idea of how many people were left-handed, Lombroso took 1029 operatives and soldiers, and found that 4 per cent, of them, preferred their left hands. The rate was almost doubled in the case of women—s to 8 per cent. Thus lefthanded persons are more likely to bo criminals than those who follow tho ordinary fashion.
