THE DAVIS CUP. By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright, SYDNEY, March 19. ; The American Tennis Association has cabled asking that the preliminary round of the Davis Cup be played in America, instead of in England, and stating that it is impracticable to play in England on June 21, the time fixed for tho completion of the match. They suggest that if Australasia is unable to agree to play in America the match should be played on Juno 23, after the 'All-England"championship. It undertakes to furnish a substantial guarantee if the match is played in America.
