A telegram from Dunkirk reports a curious accident there. The electric light cable which passed under a bridge over a canal short-circuited, and the whole of the bridge became electrified. Tho passengers on the bridge received shocks that kept them dancing. Although unpleasant to the victims, the scene was most comical to the spectators who were not affected by the current. Even the horses were affected, and, instead of walking, dashed off at a gallop. Prince Jaisint, the son of the Gaokwar of Baroda, sailed from Boston a few weeks ago after having spent some time at Harvard University, -whore he had been studying. The Prince did not take a degree, but it was said that he had finished bis studies and was going home to take up his position in his lather’s court. It is now learned (the Chronicle says) that the young Indian Prince recently had his allowance out by half, and was unable with the smaller amount to “hold bis end up” with the millionaire set with which he was associated. The Gaekwar had been allowing his son £IOO a week, but when this was cut to £SO the young man decided that be would return to India. The incident is a revelation to a great many people of how expensively one may live at Harvard.
