WAREA.

(From Our Own Correspondent.) April 17.—A very enjoyable dance was held in the hall on the 12tb, and, the attendance not being very large, there was plenty of room for dancing. The music was provided gratuitously by the Misses Julian, Ayiward, and Corbett and Mr. T. Julian, sen. Mr. T. E. Larking made an efficient M.C. A meeting of the Hall Committee was held on the 12th. An application was received for use of the hail for roller skating, and, after a good deal of discussion, it was decided to give it a trial, providing only wooden or fibre rollers are used. It was also decided to hold a dance ill aid of the ball funds on Wednesday, May 1. Mr. Knowles is to be engaged to provide the music, and the ladies have kindly consented to provide refreshments. The hall is now free of debt, but funds are rather low-, and, as the committee contemplate several improvements, it is to be hoped the public will respond by giving them a bumper house. Some of the local Territorials left on Wednesday per motor waggon on route to Hawera. Judging by their looks, they were quite enjoying the thoughts of camp life.
