RELATIVES OF A MISSING MIAN. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, April 19Thc mother and sister of Charles Williams, the champion racquet player, who was on tho Titanic, reside in Wellington, the former having coma to New Zealand two years ago to join her daughter, Mrs. Higgin, wife of tiie caretaker of Wellington Boys’ College. Williams, who was in his 24th year, was racquets champion of England before the age of 20,’and last year, by defeating Jamsotji. of Bombay, became world’s champion. He was racquets conch at Harrow until he left last week to meet dock Sonter, the famous player in the United States. Williams is married, and it is believed his wife and infant sailed with him on the Titanic. His mother, who wont Home to see him in September last, only returned by tho Corinthic on Tuesday last. BOOKMAKERS FINED. AUCKLAND, April 19. • Fred. Williams and Charles Darcy, two reputed bookmakers, were each fined €25 and costs.
