A SYDNEY BURGLAR.

Alfred Smith has been committed for trial for burglary at the residence of Mr. Thomson, Randwick. The accused made a written statement that a man named Wilson induced him to accompany him to Thompson’s house. He watched while Wilson robbed the house. Wilson, whom the police have been unable to trace, was shot in the shoulder. They a forwards divided the proceeds of the robbery. Accused had been a long time out of work, and was desperate. He expressed sorrow at the trouble he had caused. Smith was committed for trial on a second charge of burglary at Randwick on January 23. When faced with finger-print eyidence, Smith admitted the robbery.
