IN NEW SOUTH WALES. By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright. SYDNEY, April 17. A fire at Ganmain destroyed a block in the centre of the town, including large stores and a hotel. There was no fire-brigade. The damage is estimated at £34,000. (Received* April 18, 9.45 a.m.) SYDNEY, April 18. The latest estimates place the damage in the Ganmain fire at £20,000. It started in a large store and rapidly spread and demolished three other shops, tho public hall, and a fortyroomed hotel. The strong wind blowing made it impossible, in the absence of a brigade, to fight the flames.
