Mr. Fisher, supporting a Labour candidate declared that tho Denham Government had applied for military forces during the strike because it was suffering from undue excitement. There must bo clear indication of their necessity before ho would use armed forces. The strikers had been slandered by the Government and all the religious organs of the country,
