LEPPERTON.

(From. Our Own Correspondent.) April ll.—About 75 couples assembled in the Loppcrton Hall on Wednesday evening to say ‘‘an revoir” to Messrs. Hoyle and Tuson, who ore leaving this week for England. Wo are very sorry indeed to part with these gentlemen, who -during their residence hero have made a hast of friends. A most enjoyable evening was spent. Songs were given by Messrs. Thornley Wells and R. Giddy, and a recitation by Mr. B. Luke. Excellent dance music was provided by Mrs. George A splendid supper was arranged by Mrs. Openshaw and a willing band of assistants, altogether a most enjoyable evening being spent. The annual meeting and social in connection with St. Mark’s Church will take place in the hall on Wednesday evening, 17th inst. The services on Easter Sunday at St. ’Luke’s were very successful, particularly so considering the weather, the Easter decorations again being very effective. The music also, under the direction of Mrs. Wheatley, was very good.
