MAGISTRATE’S COURT.
TO-DAY’S SITTING, In the Court to-day, before Air. H. S. Fitzherbcrt, S.il., Mr. A, H. Johnstone applied for a rehearing in the ease Callow v. Keith, it having boon discovered that an error of 700 barrels had been inadvertently made by Air. Tribe in his calculation of tiio amount of oil produced. Mr. Johnstone quoted authorities to substantiate' his application, and his Worship deferred ids decision till tomorrow. Judgment by default was given in the following cases:—Hawkins and Smith (Mr. 0. H. Weston) v. James Connell, LSI os (costs £3 los 6d); L. Marks (Air. A. Botrlov) v. W. Pratt, £5 19s (1 Ms 6d.)
Judgment summonses were granted in' the following cases:—Okcy Son and Arnold (Hr Qnilliam) v, T. H. Sijns, an order made for payment of £5 5s within seven days, in default fourteen days imprisonment; William Henry Lena (Mr. Bcwley) v. H.enui Euoka, ordered to pay £7 Us -within fourteen days, or fourteen days’ imprisonment; Newman and Hall (Air. Qnilliam) v. T. 11. Sims, ordered to pay £8 15s 9d within fourteen days or fourteen days’ imprisonment.
