Mr, Lloyd George’s assailant, who is associated with the militant suffragists, declares he merely intended to break the window, (Received Dee. 19, iO.IO a.m.) LONDON, Dec. 18. Mr. Lloyd George’s assailant was Allan M'Dougall, aged 18, a member of the Social and Political Union. The Chancellor of the Exchequer appeared with a black eye and gave evidence. At his request the magistrate reduced the charge to one of common assault. M'Dougall was sentenced to two months' hard labour.
