A piano solo followed, by Olive Shaw, who showed much musical ability aoid good taste for so young a performer. Tho programme was concluded by a short musie.d play. ‘Aladdin,” very brightly written, with tuneful music. The principal pans were taken by Hilda Wilson, who scored a groat success and is certainly a very gifted little actress; Marjorie Wheatley, n stately princess, most pathetic in her grief; Doris Bradbury, ns AVa.Hieo Washoe, Aladdin’s mother, full of humour as well as motherly fooling and very dirty; Irene Ilmst. as El (.-hang, a magician, sang several Mttlo songs’very well indeed; Olive Palmer, as tho slave of tho lamp, who appeared with much eclat when summoned hy tho rubbing of the lamp. Dulco Baily, Marjorie Death, Hilary Lepper, Betty King and ALay Atkinson, a very bright bevy of pretty Japanese maidens, fluttered on and off lho stage at intervals and contributed several well rendered choruses. The parts of the fairies wore- allotted to Norn:.n Collins. Dorothy Saxton, Evelyn, Fox, Ernestine' Body, and Nancy Pitcher, each representing a coloured chrysanthemum. The effect was , charming amidst the surroundings of. green foliage. Evelyn Fox, the possessor of a sweet, true voice, sang a dainty little tong.

The whole production was remarkably good and must have entailed endless work for the promoters. It was received very warmly by an entirely appreciative audience.

Supper wa.» served in tho drawingroom, whore there wore on view some beautiful specimens of tho pupils’ needlework.
