In anticipation of a busy Christmas trade, Mr. J. Dennett, jeweller and watchmaker, Devon Street, has just imported a large shipment of jewellery, silverware, leathenvare, etc. The goods consist of a fine assortment of suitable Christmas presents. The leather goods comprise a particularly nice selection of ladies’ baps, purses, pocket books, etc. Housewives hail with delight the advent of non' inventions for minimising labour or improving domestic conditions generally. Science has now evolved a new refrigerator that takes about half the room and costs half the price of the old style machine. It is made of steel, enamelled white, perfectly insulated, and will stand under the pantry shelf. It is an ideal sanitary refrigerator, being easily kept clean by wiping with a damp cloth. We have only three of these in stock, and cannot obtain more this season. Prices from SOs.—The J.P. Hardware Coy., Ltd., Devon Street East, New Plymouth.*
