Buckland and Sons rexiort: At Westfield on December 7 there was a good demand for all classes. Best dairy cons brought £8 to £ll, others £4 to £7 IDs, empty £3 to £4 11s, choice 18-months heifers £4 to "£o 4s, 3 and 4-year-old steers £6 6s to £7 15s, 2 to 3-year-olds £5 to to £6 os, yearling to 18-month steeds £2 18s to'£4. . At Westfield on, December 13, tho fat cattle yarded uumbere" 366. There was fair demand. Choice ox brought £1 6s, ordinary £1 3s to £1 os, cows and heifers ‘£i Is to £1 4s, steers £7 to £ll 15s, cows and heifers £3 10s to £8 15s. Calves: Runners £3 10s to £5, heavy suckers £2 os to £2 15s, lighter £1 to £1 15s, fresh dropped 4s to 12s; 75 were sold. There was a heavy entry of mutton, but the quality was ordinary, and competition was slow. Prime heavy wethers brought 16s to 18s, medium 13s ,to 15s, light and unfinished 10s to 12s 6d, best heavy ewes 13s to 15s 6d, others 8s to 12$; 2086 were sold. There were 743 lambs penned, and tile prices dropped 2s to 3s per head. Best heavy brought 14s to 15s 6d, others 11s to 13s 6d, small and light 6s to 10s 6d. A moderate supply of pigs sold at late high figures. Baconcrs brought £2 10s to £3 Bs, large porkers £2 2s to £2 Bs, lighter £1 8s to £2 Is, wcaner 12s to l?s 6d; 96 were sold. L. A, NOLAN AND CO. Messrs. L. A. Nolan and Co. report for week ending Wednesday, December 13, 1911: Poultry.—Wo had a good entry on Saturday, over 450 birds being penned. This would have been much larger, but for tho inclemency of the weather. Prices throughout were much improved, this resulting from the demand for birds suitable for Xmas festivities. Prices as follow; Hens (fat) 2s to 2s 5(1, ordinary Is 7d to Is lid, poor conditioned Is 2d to Is 6d, cockerels (well grown) 2s 6d to 3s, roosters Is 3d to 2s Id, chickens 6d to Is Id, ducks Is 9d to 2s lid .ducklings (well forward) Is lOd to 2s 4d, others is to Is 9d, turkey hens 4s 6d to 5s 6tl, gobblers 7s 6d to 9s, geese 3s to 3s d, goslings 3s 6d to 3s 9d, guinea fowls 4s 3d pair. During the afternoon wo sold two ipotor cars on account of Messrs. Sheates and Bockaert.
